The Volusia Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) is seeking public comment on a proposed amendment to the 2035 LRTP which will be presented during the regularly scheduled TPO Board meeting on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 @ 9:00 a.m.
The proposed amendment expands the Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA) to include urbanized areas of Bunnell, Palm Coast and unincorporated Flagler County, and outlines the transportation projects that are to be pursued between now and the year 2035.
The proposed amendment was developed in consultation with representatives of the areas being added to the MPA and uses financial estimates developed by the Florida Department of Transportation during the development of the 2035 LRTP. The factors used to develop this plan amendment are consistent with those used for the existing transportation plan.
The VolusiaTPO’s Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) and Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) will also review this request at their regularly scheduled meetings in October and will provide a recommendation to the VolusiaTPO Board.
The TPO Board meeting is open to the public and public participation is encouraged. The meeting will take place in the conference room at the TPO office on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 @ 9:00 a.m.
