The VolusiaTPO’s Bicycle Safety Decal currently appears in an advertisement on the back of VOTRAN buses (fixed routes 1B, 9, 10, 17 and 20). The advertisement promotes a safe passing distance of at least 3 feet between vehicles and bicycles or other non-motorized vehicles (F.S. 316.083). The advertising campaign, funded by the VolusiaTPO and VOTRAN, began in October 2008 and runs through February 2009.
