443815-1 SR 40 Project Information Handout

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is designing improvements along State Road (S.R.) 40 from east of Rodeo Road to Bayberry Drive in Ormond Beach. The purpose of the project is to enhance safety and operations along the corridor.

The project will resurface this segment of S.R. 40 to extend the life of the existing roadway. Other improvements include enhancing lighting at intersections with crosswalks, pedestrian curb ramp reconstruction in accordance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and installing additional signage and new pavement marking features.

Design is expected to be completed in summer 2021. Construction is anticipated to start in late 2021 at an estimated cost of $8.8 million. The attached project information handout is being shared with residents and property owners along the corridor. Information about the project is also available on the project website at www.cflroads.com/project/443815-1.
