Pedestrian Safety Awareness Event

Event to heighten awareness of pedestrian safety, especially around college campuses

What: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) strives every day to ensure facilities are safe for all users, including those that frequently travel by foot.

In recognition of National Pedestrian Safety Month, FDOT will partner with Stetson University to host an educational event about important pedestrian tips, laws and features.

Attendees will learn not only about tips and laws that keep pedestrians safe, but the carefully engineered features that assist pedestrians – including those with visual impairments – along roadways.
