2021 SE Guidedogs Walkathon Flyer
FDOT’s Alert Today pedestrian and bicycle safety program is sponsoring this year’s Southeastern Guide Dogs National Walkathon Day! Please ‘join us’ to help raise awareness for pedestrian safety by joining the walkathon on Saturday, May 1st. You can participate in the following ways:
- Walk on your own, in your neighborhood or other favorite place! All are welcome to participate with or without a pet/dog. We will make a collage of FDOT staff participation for our internal newsletter. A sample of last year’s activity is attached.
- If you are interested in having your video shared on the walkathon’s national social media platform, you can record your video in the next week or two and share with Stephanie Moss, who will coordinate with the event organizers.
To help us know who ‘joined’ in the walkathon, please email Stephanie. Moss@dot.state.fl.us so we can compile participation:
- Your name
- Your pet’s name (if applicable)
- A photo of your pet and/or your walk
Thank you to those of you that registered on the Southeastern Guide Dogs Virtual Walkathon website. You can still register under the FDOT Alert Today team at http://participate.guidedogs.org/goto/FDOT. Registration is not required to participate in the walkathon.
