The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is designing roadway improvements along Beville Road (State Road (S.R.) 400) from Williamson Boulevard to east of Forest Lake Boulevard in the City of Daytona Beach. The purpose of this project is to extend the life of the existing roadway by repaving this segment of Beville Road and to enhance safety and operations along the corridor.

The project includes adding new crosswalks and pedestrian improvements at the Beville Road signalized intersections at Williamson Boulevard and Pelican Bay Drive (east). The pedestrian improvements include upgrading sidewalk curb ramps in accordance with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Operational improvements include lengthening the left turn lanes on westbound Beville Road at Williamson Boulevard to provide additional space for vehicles, as well as making necessary drainage modifications.

Design of this project is expected to finish in early 2022, with construction anticipated to begin in fall 2022.
