RIVER TO SEA TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION (TPO)

ANNOUNCES OPEN HOUSE STYLE CONNECT 2045 NEEDS ASSESSMENT WORKSHOPS

DAYTONA BEACH, FL – Connect 2045 is the new Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) being developed to guide the transportation future of the River to Sea TPO planning area.  The 2045 LRTP is a 25-year projection to identify strategies that satisfy the transportation needs of TPO planning area, which includes Volusia County and the developed areas of eastern Flagler County, including Beverly Beach and Flagler Beach, as well as portions of the cities of Palm Coast and Bunnell.

As we develop this plan, we are holding a series of Needs Assessment Workshops in an open house format to discuss transportation needs for our community. The input received from these workshops will help shape the 2045 LRTP and help in identifying ways to invest in the local transportation network to maintain a sustainable system that provides for a strong future.  The workshops will be held on the following dates, times, and locations:

 About the River to Sea TPO: The River to Sea TPO is the duly designated and constituted body responsible for carrying out the urban transportation planning and programming process for our designated Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). The TPO’s metropolitan planning area includes all of Volusia County and the developed areas of eastern Flagler County, including Beverly Beach and Flagler Beach, as well as portions of the cities of Palm Coast and Bunnell.
