FDOT to host 45-mile ride to promote bicycle safety

 

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Safety Office and NASCAR driver Scott Lagasse, Jr. will host NASCAR drivers/crew, world champion triathletes, professional cyclists and other celebrities on a 45-mile ride to promote bicycle safety. The ride will honor Deputy Frank Scofield of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Scofield lost his life while participating in a training ride in 2019.
