Financial Project Identification (FPID) No.: 437133-1

Dear Government Partner:

On behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), I invite you to a public meeting regarding proposed drainage improvements on North Woodland Boulevard from Mandarin Avenue to East Kentucky Avenue. Proposed improvements consist of adding drainage inlets, adding underground drainage pipes along the median of North Woodland Boulevard and Mandarin Avenue, relocating utilities, and repaving North Woodland Boulevard and Mandarin Avenue within the project limits. While construction will require intermittent lane closures and a temporary detour, a 12-foot outside travel lane in each direction will be maintained during construction on North Woodland Boulevard. The temporary detour will utilize East Parkdale Avenue, North Alabama Avenue, and East South Street.

The public meeting will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Sanborn Activity Center, 815 S. Alabama Ave., DeLand, FL 32724. The meeting will be an informational open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During the open house, attendees will have an opportunity to review project displays, speak with project team members, and watch a short video presentation that will run on a continuous loop. There will not be a formal presentation.

Written comments can be submitted at the meeting; mailed to Naziru Isaac, Florida Department of Transportation, 719 S. Woodland Blvd. M.S. 552, DeLand, FL 32720-6834; or emailed to Naziru.Isaac@dot.state.fl.us no later than Friday, February 14, 2020. All written and oral comments will become part of the project’s public record.
