Interstate 95 (I-95) Work Continues/Updates

Daytona Beach— The Florida Department of Transportation is reminding motorists of closures as part of the I-95 Widening and Systems Interchange project in Daytona Beach.

Interstate 95 (mainline I-95) is closing both directions overnight Wednesday, September 19 and Thursday, September 20, each night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The closures occur at a different location each night. Specific times and details are explained below.

 Wednesday, Sept. 19 – 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

I-95 Closed in Both Directions from International Speedway Blvd. to State Road (S.R.) 421

  • Northbound I-95 motorists will exit at S.R. 421, and use Williamson Blvd. and International Speedway Blvd. to go back to I-95.
  • Southbound I-95 motorists will exit at International Speedway Blvd., and use Williamson Blvd. to S.R. 421 to go back to I-95.

Thursday, Sept. 20 – 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

I-95 Closed in Both Directions from International Speedway Blvd. to Interstate 4 (I-4)

  • Northbound I-95 motorists will exit at S.R. 421, and use Williamson Blvd. and International Speedway Blvd. to go back to I-95.
  • Southbound I-95 motorists exit at International Speedway Blvd., and use Williamson Blvd. to S.R. 421 to go back to I-95.

In addition, ramp closures are currently underway.

Entrance ramp from westbound Beville Road to southbound I-95 and the exit ramp from northbound I-95 to westbound I-4 is closed day and night (continuously) for three weeks–this started Tuesday, September 18 and lasts until 6 a.m. Tuesday, October 9.

  • Northbound I-95 traffic headed to westbound I-4 will continue north on I-95 to westbound U.S. 92 to the I-4 on ramp. Beville Road traffic may take Williamson Boulevard south to S.R. 421 to access southbound I-95.
  • The westbound Beville Road ramp to westbound I-4 will be open.

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances, and if this happens, the closures may be rescheduled.
