RE:             2017 Work Program Public Hearing

Florida Department of Transportation – District Five

Dear Government Leader:

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a week-long online public hearing for the Tentative Five Year Work Program beginning October 9 at 8:00 a.m. and ending October 13 at midnight. This online hearing will be open and available 24 hours a day for citizens to view and comment on project information at www.d5wpph.com/2017. The purpose of this public hearing is to outline tentative transportation projects within the District for Fiscal Years 2018/2019 through 2022/2023.

There will be a Public Information Outreach Meeting 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, at the FDOT District Five District Office in the Cypress A and B Conference Rooms, 719 S. Woodland Boulevard, DeLand, FL 32720.

Participants may provide public comment at any time during the online public hearing.  Written comments may be submitted by mail, no later than October 23, 2017, to Mr. Steve Martin, District Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation, 719 South Woodland Boulevard, DeLand, FL 32720.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.  Persons wishing to express their concerns relative to FDOT compliance with Title VI may do so by contacting Jennifer Smith, FDOT District Five Title VI Coordinator by phone at 386-943-5367, or via email at jennifer.smith2@dot.state.fl.us.
