JOINT TDLCB & CTD ANNUAL PUBLIC HEARING

The Volusia Transportation Planning Organization Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board (TDLCB) in conjunction the Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged (CTD) will be holding a joint annual public hearing on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until complete in the Halifax A-B room(s) at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort, 100 North Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32118.  The primary purpose of the TDLCB is to assist the Community Transportation Coordinator (Votran) in identifying local service needs and providing information, advice, and direction to Votran on the coordination of services to be provided to the transportation disadvantaged.

Transportation Disadvantaged, as defined in Section 427.011, Florida Statutes, means those persons who because of physical or mental disability, income status, or age are unable to transport themselves or to purchase transportation and are, therefore, dependent upon others to obtain access to health care, employment, education, shopping, social activities, or other life-sustaining activities, or children who are handicapped or high-risk or at-risk.
