The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will conduct a Virtual Public Meeting (VPM) regarding the proposed design for a roundabout to replace the traffic signal at State Road (S.R.) 44 and Kepler Road. The virtual public meeting will introduce the proposed design plans. A public hearing regarding the design will be held at a later date.
The purpose of the project is to improve traffic efficiency and enhance safety at this intersection. Also included in this project are pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, additional intersection lighting, and landscaping.
The meeting is being conducted as a VPM, which is a free live presentation or webinar over the internet, on Thursday, August 6, 2020, beginning at 5:30 p.m. If you wish to participate in the VPM online, registration is required prior to joining the meeting. Interested participants will need to visit the following website to register: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/8472826016516089103.
Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the VPM online from a computer, tablet or cell phone. Meeting materials, including the presentation, will be available on the project website at www.cflroads.com/project/431922-1 after the meeting.
The VPM opens at 5:30 p.m., with a formal presentation at 5:45 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer period. The presentation will be repeated at 6:30 p.m. Please provide adequate log-in time to view the presentation in its entirety.
FDOT is sending notices to all property owners, business owners, interested persons and organizations to provide the opportunity to give comments to FDOT regarding the S.R. 44 Roundabout at Kepler Road. The meeting gives everyone an opportunity to express their views about the proposed modifications.
Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
