RIVER TO SEA TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION (TPO)

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE

TRANSPORTATION PRIORITY PROJECTS

Notice is hereby given that the River to Sea TPO Board will conduct a public hearing during its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the River to Sea TPO conference room located at 2570 W. International Speedway Blvd., Suite 100, Daytona Beach, FL. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit public input regarding the draft List of Priority Projects (LOPP).

The List of Priority Projects identifies the TPO’s priorities for project funding. It includes the following categories of transportation projects:

  • Florida Strategic Intermodal System (SIS) Projects
  • Regionally Significant, Non-SIS Projects
  • Traffic Operations, Safety, and Local Initiatives Projects
  • Bicycle/Pedestrian (B/P) and B/P Local Initiatives Projects
  • Major Bridge Projects
  • Transit Projects
  • Regional Trail Projects
  • Transportation Planning Studies

Following the public hearing, the TPO Board is expected to adopt the List of Priority Projects (as may be revised in response to the public input). The adopted list will be forwarded to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to be used as a guide in selecting transportation projects for programming in FDOT’s Work Program.

Public comments will be welcomed during the public hearing, or they may be submitted directly to the River to Sea TPO office prior to the public hearing by email, mail or phone. The draft List of Priority Projects may be reviewed here:

To that end, such person will want to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made.
