Subcommittees

Subcommittees shall be designated by the TPO as necessary to investigate and report on specific subject areas of interest to the TPO or to address administrative and/or legislative issues.  These may include, but are not limited to: airports, highways, mass transit, transportation needs of “transportation disadvantaged” groups, directions for future growth (local comprehensive plan reviews), bylaws, nominating committee, legislative issues and  budget.

TPO  Subcommittees:

  • TIP – This subcommittee is made up of members from the TCC, CAC and BPAC.  They are responsible for the review and ranking of projects submitted by member local governments during the annual “call for projects” which helps to develop the annual listings of priority projects.  This subcommittee also reviews the criteria and selection process associated with the annual listing of priority projects.
  • BPAC Project Review – This subcommittee is made up of members from the BPAC.  They are responsible for the review and ranking of projects submitted by local governments during the “annual call for projects” which helps to develop the annual listings of priority projects – more specifically, the Bicycle/Pedestrian and Bicycle Pedestrian Local Initiatives Project Lists.
  • LRTP – This subcommittee is responsible for developing the Long Range Transportation Plan.
  • UPWP – This subcommittee is responsible for developing the TPO’s Unified Planning Work Program on a biannual basis.
